East Peak Skier Accidental

Observed a skier accidental size 2 off East Peak. A group of riders hit a sheltered 40 to 30 degree S ASP and triggered a buried hoar layer 30cm below the surface. The crown was 75-100m wide and ran approximately 100m. The group had a questionable uptrack and poor terrain choices which contributed to the incident.
Avalanche
Observed a sz 2 skier accidental. After a questionable uptrack, the party skied down the south face of East Peak just outside Big White Ski area boundary. Below a rock band, they triggered a slab on buried decomposing SH (.5-1mm). No one was buried and the party will live to ride another day.
