Snowpack

The snow around 11300' on the flats Nerly aspect is approx 85cm deep. What I'm noticing is it seems to be getting weaker in that I am easily getting full pen with my ski pole (basket down) making poling off a packed area interesting. My ski pen is about 25-30cm and surprising getting off a packed track though is still not bad. I did not want to get off trail too much for skiing as my narrow skis want submarine on me and as you know not a lot of confidence from hitting junk. Most west and south aspect are melted out at least down by Lenado. Trail to the hut is melting down low but pleasant higher up.
