Temperatures hovered near freezing, winds remained generally calm and clouds transitioned from scattered to few.
Snowpack
West facing aspects, below and near treeline, exhibited characteristics associated with Low to Moderate danger ratings. Although rounded basal facets exist, failure in compression was not initiated. Packed rounds dominated the mid-pack, yet no propagation occurred. In terms of surface conditions, recent wind loading identified by etching, remained soft and provided pleasant ski conditions. We did not experience any signs of instability and confidence increased from Fair to Good. The current Persistent Slab problem was not evidenced on West facing terrain.
