Weather

Very low clouds/fog and flurries on the north side, sun shining through thin clouds on the south side. Lot's of fog and low clouds along the route, but no precip in the Crystal or North Fork Valleys from Carbondale all the way to Skyway Point, with the exception of flurries at the top of McClure Pass. As you cross to the north side of the mesa, very light snow was falling all the way down to the town of Mesa.

Snowpack

HS was 32", 8" of new snow on top of 24" of facets and depth hoar. Foot pen was basically to the ground still in the study plot, but I would expect to find a fresh wind crust/thin slab in exposed areas after last nights wind event. Lots of sluffing from the Cliffs, but Aspen Banks and other road cuts had not slid. Still not enough snow in the cliffs to produce a large slab.
