Weather

Strong wind coming from the North it seemed. Blowing snow. Route elevation near treeline

Snowpack

Recent windblown snow has created a nasty snowpack. Dangerous. I thought I would be totally sheltered on the route. While sheltered somewhat, you're still in the path.

Avalanche

Powdery. If it would've been a thick slab, then I wouldn't have withstood the impact while hanging onto my ice tools.
