Cold with lows in the single F digits. Light to moderate winds from the WNW at ridge crest, scattered clouds.
Snowpack
Snow pack in the area of the slides has not be directly observed. The new storm snow had been effected by the wind in the last 36hrs. Being north facing at 12,000ft the previous snow surface had not melted out and was likely in the process of turning to facets.
Avalanche
Union Peak: Went natural sometime during the night of 11/16/14. Large hard slab pieces can be seen in the photos. The debris ran the average length, a very rough depth of debris estimation would be above 2m. Bed surface looks to be old snow. Tucker Mt.: Natural slide sometime during the night of 11/15 or 11/16. The winds have already filled in most of the crown lines so not much can be identified.
