Snowpack

Did a quick profile on a north east slope at 10,400 ft with a pitch of 27 degrees. Found the usual suspects, 40cm of uncohesive facets at the base, capped with about 75cm's of progressively stiffer slab, with not found weak layers within. Above this I found 2 buried surface hoar layers which seem to be primed to become very active weak layers with some loading. One was buried last night by 5-8 cms of fresh, the other, seemingly was buried by last weeks snow, which has settled to about 15 - 20 cm's in this location.
