Weather

2-3 inches of snow in morning. Strong southwest winds the day before, as many of us probably know.

Snowpack

Thin, variable snowpack. Wind slab at treeline (bulletproof), punchy and rotten below treeline.

Avalanche

Slide on north aspect; smaller slide triggered on same slope minutes before. Elevation about 11,600. Larger slide ran 150-250 feet, crown 1-2 feet. R2/D2/AS/U. Soft slab. One person carried but not buried (along right flank). No injuries.
