Snowpack

The snowpack has been heavily effected by recent strong winds and ample sunshine. Talking with local backcountry users estimated snow depth is between 3-4 meters in most areas within the Wolf Creek Pass area. South and West facing slopes roller balling was observed. Widespread near-surface facets and Surface-Hoar observed on the snow surface. Dry snow was still persevered in protected areas on North facing slopes below treeline. When we do get more snow it will have trouble bonding the the crusty and faceted snow surface observed.
