It was cloudy and lightly snowing most of the day.

Snowpack

Highly variable. Stellar and decomposing snow crystals primarily on the surface. Lots of faceting at the base of the snowpack. Varied wind and storm slabs sitting above facets observed on many aspects around treeline. Overall, a snowpack that is becoming increasingly complex and touchy.
