A cold day of skiing in Crowsnest Pass. We observed natural slab avalanche activity as well as several small loose dry avalanches to size 1 in recent storm snow. Loose dry observed in steep rocky south facing terrain.
Weather
We did not see the sun for much of the day while skiing in dense forest. This kept it feeling quite cold.
Avalanche
Numerous size 1 natural wind slabs observed in an alpine basin in Crowsnest Pass. Most results observed in very steep unskiable terrain. Debris deposited onto fan, did not trigger any deeper layers.
