Spent the weekend in the Bonnington area near Huckleberry hut. We were hoping for more coverage over the brush but at the 1600 meter elevation band there was quite a bit still sticking out. Shoot me a message if you want to see images of the pit, I cant get it to upload.

Friday night some light (S-1) snow was falling as we toured in from 6pm-1230am. Saturday was overcast with dense in and out valley fog. Saturday night was cold and clear. Sunday morning-Noon was sunny with few clouds and a warming trend.

In a quick pit, I was probing the HS to be approx 120-160cm. I was unable to find a location that didnt have brush as a bed surface, so my ECT was only 90cm deep. I believe that the brush did interfere with testing closer to the bottom of the pit. We had ECTN23 with a non planar break down 33cm on 1mm facets. There was also a layer of some larger facets (approx 1.5mm) 60-70cm down in the snowpack that I couldnt get to react because of the bed surface and brush in the column. Some surface hoar was growing on top of the snowpack over the weekend but may have melted on sunny aspects Sunday when the temps warmed up and sun came out. Warming was causing snow to come off of the trees around noon on sunday at the 1548 meter band and below. When touring up friday (Nov 29) evening we noticed a crust layer that ended at the 1000 meter elevation band. Warming on sunday may have changed this.
