Went out for a rip in the Ogden area. Travel up the summer trail was adequate with a couple rough patches. The lake was frozen and travel-able on pre compacted route . Anywhere off the route was sloppy and poor travel. -4.0 air temp at the lake and +4.0 at 2100 meters at 12:00. The inversion was strong and felt like spring. Top 10 cms was moist. Roller balling and some small size 1 wet loose off the east facing Ogden head wall by 3 pm. At ridge top on the benches ( 2430) air temp of 0 around 130 pm . Hs averaged around 70-100 cms in sub alp. Compression test produced CTH 27 SC down 70 on faceted Oct 21 crust on SE aspect at 2430 meters. Good skiing overall. Area has had a lot of traffic and phantom has been skied!
