First person remote trigger a whumpf from 30 feet away on flat sheltered south aspect terrain. The other two people were standing still so felt a noticeable drop as it settled. Avoided alpine terrain above this area that looked hard pressed. Found good snow in sheltered areas on north and south aspects. Did not see any avalanche activity. The mid snow pack is very faceted and not bonding together when you dig down to it. The ground facets are still moist.
