Snow Conditions
powder

12-15cm fresh dry from Thursday night, over a variable Melt Freeze Crust (Jan.15). Multiple slides on steep, south facing slopes of Yak and the SW facing bowl north of Zopkios...mostly point release, some small slabs. Challenging conditions around large trees due to ice and basketball sized treebombs that are frozen solid. Open and sparsely treed areas will provide great ski conditions.

If there is a layer of concern at this location and other north aspects in the area, it would be a MFcr down 25cm with a mixed form of Rounded Decomposing Fragments that are beginning to Facet with this cold weather.
