Snowpack
Dug quick pit. Slope angle approx. 30 degrees. 2 rain/melt/freeze layers-33cm then at 70cm. Picture with shovel blade- facets at 70cm;1-5mm in size. Digging in with shovel this layer was thick and felt like it was still a bit wet in spots? Ski down was variable with fresh powder, thin wind crust, then into fluffy light 'boot top' powder once below alpine and into meadow.
