At Core Lodge we found good powder riding at Treeline, away from the wind. We dug down into the snowpack and found a thick melt-freeze crust down 30cm that was well bonded to the layers around it. Our snow profile showed no concerning test results and a strengthening snowpack. In the Alpine strong winds were scouring west-facing slopes, building windslabs below ridge crests and rollovers. We saw one small windslab avalanche from today or yesterday.
