Just returned from 10 days working in the Alexandra area and Castle Guard/Columbia ice fields areas, skiing out the Sask Glr. The snow pack proved to be over all very well settled and strong, with only a couple of skier accidental sz .5 avalanches in storm snow over lying harder surfaces, higher elevations (3100m +) still felt like a winter snow pack with weak base layers. The ski quality remained excellent with frequent snow fall and no wind effect. Coverage on the glaciers was good with a couple of shallow areas probed (140cm) where effected by out flowing winds, other wise deep and strong.
