Weather
Today was clear skies, high 38f. I'm not certain when the avalanche happened, but probably in the last 48 hours since the last little shot of snow on Saturday.
Snowpack
N/A, observed from a distance. Likely to be identical to https://avalanche.state.co.us/caic/acc/acc_report.php?accfm=rep&acc_id=801 since it was 1/2 mile away and on a nearly identical aspect and elevation.
Avalanche
D1.5 on small steep slope just above treeline below the large cirque of Northstar mountain. This was on an identical aspect to https://avalanche.state.co.us/caic/acc/acc_report.php?accfm=rep&acc_id=801 and just 1/2 mile north northwest of that location. This small slope is the(?) other frequent performer in this area. Additionally, I believe a smaller crown was observed on the large bowl at 12k' of Quandary's east aspect (one ridge north of here) on the same NE aspect, but it's hard to get a decent picture/view of that crown without a hike. The picture is grainy because this was taken from a distance, but it shows the avalanche on the small hill on the foreground just above treeline.
