Toured in a t-shirt until the wind showed up. Maybe -1c in the sun out of the wind near tree line. Sky was clear. Winds were moderately gusty and swirling in the valleys near and above tree line. Strong at the ridge’s predominantly out of the NW. Lots of transport happening up high.
Snowpack
HS around 11,500’ on east aspect 220cm. Decomposing/Faceted surfaces encountered on East and West aspects.
Avalanche
Saw remnants of a natural sz 1 wind slab on an east aspect.
