Calming winds and clear skies following the Wed 1/12 snow and wind event following the storm

Snowpack

Approx 8-10” new snow on top of what appeared to be a melt crust. Problem layers were the new snow on top of this crust, and basal facets creating a persistent slab problem. See attached snow pit diagram for details.
