Warm day with light W winds at ridgetop. Scattered clouds increasing throughout the day. Thicker clouds building after 3pm but no precip.
Snowpack
Despite the warm temperatures, there were few signs of wet instabilities in this part of the zone. Sunny protected aspects warmed through the morning, but remained moist rather than fully wet. A light breeze and filtered cloud cover helped keep slopes at higher elevations in check throughout the day. Even at mid and lower elevations, the snowpack remained fully supportable and only softened in the upper 10cm. Driving through the zone, it's remarkable how much snow has melted away near and below treeline. Sunny aspects are fading fast while leeward and shadier slopes are still well covered.
