S aspect at treeline. 30-35 degree slope. A thick 15cm sun / wind crust at the surface sits on a layer of facets. This surface crust was super easy to trigger - it did not propagate very far but made for challenging skiing. Below that the snowpack looked the right side up, however the late January interface was still reactive. CTE1 down 15 RP CTM20 down 75 SP
