Weather

S1 snow during the ski but picking up on the egress and drive back. Light winds but some gusts transported snow. Observed some swirling/blowing snow further up on the ridge.

Snowpack

Quick hit lap so didn’t take measurements but: Small test slope in the wind affected area produced results on about an about 15cm thick slab with the layer breaking on a thin layer of facets/hoar above lower slab. Heard whumpfing while on the same test slope. Cracking of the snowpack also observed. Further down riding below treeline the snowpack was a layer of fresh snow with facets below. No slab observed in these areas.
