Weather

Last nights system left a dusting of new snow above 11.5k. Cloud cover enveloped the Continental Divide overnight until 8 am today, making for the worst refreeze of the week.

Snowpack

No signs of instability underfoot while skiing steep terrain on various aspects before 10 am. ATL, the snow surface was supportive to boot and ski pen on Monday morning. Today, it was punchy to foot pen, still supporting skis, about 4” thick. Snowpack is unsupportive and saturated below treeline but seems to have run it’s course; couldn’t get much to budge on steep test slopes.

Avalanche

Good views of a lot of terrain in the Park…some D1 to 1.5 wet loose, mostly caused by cornice fall, but still fairly quiet.
