Weather

Overcast, snowing moderately, winds gusting to 20 - 25 mph the entire morning. Temp approximately 18 degrees F.

Snowpack

Upper Dry Gulch, northeast aspect at 11,555' snowpack had a storm slab 4-6" with a wind slab below about 1-2", with older storm slab below.

Avalanche

Upper Dry Gulch, northeast aspect at 11,555'. We (two skiers) were skinning up a low angle ramp adjacent and higher to the slope that ran. We triggered the slide remotely, about 50 - 75 yards from the nearest crown point.
