Avalanche
Observed crowns on the steep amphitheater just to the north of where the Hocus peak W ridge terminates at the continental divide. This was a large slide estimated to be R3 D2.5 that began as a large wind slab just below the cornice that then propagated or stepped down into other layers several hundred feet down the track. Observed from a distance, the top wind slab crown appeared to be thick, possibly upwards of 2 meters. This secondary slide propagated extensively, wrapping almost every terrain feature from edge to edge in the amphitheater. ENE aspect. ~12,700ft 35°+
