Weather

Winds calm.. Compared to yesterday (12/22) which most certainly was not. Started Sunny (9:30 AM) and finished with overcast (12:30 PM)

Snowpack

Dug a pit on an E aspect @ 11650.. lookin' for facets here!! 73cm depth to the dirt ECT time!! ECTP 17.. failing on some grainy stuff (NSF) @ 54cm .. The consistency of something you'd top a sugar cookie with.. And a Nice 2cm crust layer on top Propogation Saw Test on the grainy stuff @ 54cm .. 31 / 100cm Shear quality? Looks like a very cohesive slab sheared pretty easily

With yesterdays wind - i'd bet the layer of grainy stuff is far more exposed in some places than others.. terrain features such as rocky outcroppings and sparsely spaced trees come to mind mother nature was kind enough to give me a woomph while breaking trail ..
