Weather

Warm, surface snow becoming wet. Temperature at parking lot was around 40F. There was a light breeze occasionally.

Snowpack

Surface warming, started to see small roller balls coming down on south facing slopes by around 3pm. Decided to turn around and stop traveling up road when reached the steeper exposed side hill section at this location. As transitioning a hiker coming down reported that snowshoers on Goliath peak had caused large wumphs to occur. As we finished transitioning a wumph occurred where we were located.

Avalanche

None seen, but ourselves and others heard wumphs in the area.
