Weather

Clouds increased through the morning turning overcast by mid-day. Calm westerly winds at ridgetop snowing S-1 with minor accumulations.

Snowpack

Warm to wet surfaces on south facing slopes BTL formed into crusts later in the day. Above treeline on a S facing, cross-loaded slope there was a robust slab up to 1F in hardness sitting over two perceptible decomposing melt/freeze crusts. Surprisingly, the layers in the snowpack were bonding and stability tests had high scores and no propagation in ECTs. The depth of snow in the main bowl above treeline vairied from bare ground to thick drifts over 2 meters deep. No cracking or collapses observed
