Weather
Skies remained mostly clear with warm temperatures. Winds at ridgeline were gusty, moving snow turbulently but did not appear do be significantly loading.
Snowpack
North through east-facing slopes from Sopris to Capital to Haystack have continuous snow cover now at elevations above 8000 feet. Northwest and west are mainly scoured except for crossloaded terrain features above treeline, with more continuous cover near treeline and below to 8500 feet.
Avalanche
Limited time only allowed for distant observations, but I was relatively surprised to see no recent avalanche activity along the northeast-facing side of Capital ridge or in the Capital creek drainage as a whole.
