Weather
Cold and sunny to start the day. Temps warmed as the day progressed, winds picked up at ridgetop.
Snowpack
6 inches of low density (right side up) snow covered the landscape below treeline. On sunny aspects, the new snow sits above a mixed bag of consolidated facets and crusts. Near and above treeline, recent winds have redistributed the new snow onto leeward aspects and terrain features. New slab formation above treeline on E-NE aspects were building 2-3' deep just below ridgeline.
Avalanche
A few small natural avalanches were observed steep esterly aspects where recent wind-loading had formed a fresh slab.
