Weather
Intermittent sun and snow showers. Temperatures in the low 20's and northwest winds.
Snowpack
3 inches of snow fell overnight near Red Mountain Pass. Snow showers continued into Sunday, but with very little additional accumulation. Over the past few days incremental snowfall has added up to around 6-8 inches. The new snow fell on a firm surface created by a deep freeze following a warm period. Westerly winds continue to drift the new snow into pockets over a foot deep in places. Isolated pockets of soft wind slab in the upper start zones and cross-loaded features near and above treeline observed.
Avalanche
Small skier-triggered avalanche in a cross-loaded west northwest pocket above treeline.
