Warm and sunny.

Snowpack

The snowpack is getting deep into the spring translation, but not isothermal. The surface of the snow is wet and avalanche activity has been greatest in the afternoon and early evening hours. Sunny low elevation slopes are melting out all together.

Avalanche

Natural Wet avalanches observed on west and southwest facing slopes in the early evening hours. Avalanches were triggered as the sun angle beamed on the rocky start zones. Wednesday I observed a few slides, but we had a much larger wet cycle on Tuesday evening
