Snowpack
Out doing snowpack study for undergrad research project. 3 full pits dug just east of Brockton Point in wind-loaded areas downslope of trees of various heights. Performed 3 ECTs, all with Resistant Planar fracture character, and no propagation across the column. Note that all my tests were performed within 5m of the centre of tree stems, so these results could be influenced by the nature of the factors I'm studying. Upon approaching site around 0930, had surface slabs (no deeper than 5cms) break and run for about 50m.
