Returned to see what had fallen over night. Additional snow added up to 30-40 of recent storm snow over the past few days. Shin to knees deep when making fresh skin track. Snowing till late in the afternoon. Hardly any wind to speak of. No new avalanches seen, low vis but large long duration big rumbles heard from valley of certain doom steeps. No cracks in snow as we skinned. No slabs produced but sluffs ran very far in steep zones and would entrain mass as it went taking off the first 15 or more of new snow along with it. From top of Prayer flags it could run around and beyond trees for tens of metres. Temps were around the 0 mark lower in valleys with packable snow in your hands then dryer with more fluff factor as you climbed. Cats was very nice ski quality with sloughing not so much of an issue. No socks sluffs ran for 200 M's I figure though adding up to be a lot of snow when it finally would stop. Like a slow river of snow rolling down hill. Best to slide off to side out of its way when regrouping. Certainly would be an issue if you crashed out in its path or tree welled yourself.
