Weather

Very blustery and cold. Winds eased by mid afternoon and skies cleared up.

Snowpack

Snow profile was dug on an E aspect at 11,000ft. HS was 125cm. Propagation was observed 80cm down on hard taps (ECTP 29). Hard slab overlying weak facets. Thin zipper crust (1 cm) was on the surface. Thin melt freeze crust was observed on solar aspects.

Avalanche

Apparently, lone skier triggered avalanche while approaching the choke at the very bottom of the Naked Lady Couloir on Snowdon Peak. Unknown whether skier was caught in the slide.
