20 degrees 10-15 mph wind with occasional gusts approximately 20-30mph North Aspect 11,300 Elevation

Snowpack

Snowpack ranged from wind scoured to wind deposited powder 12> inches crown was below a wind sheltered ridge

Avalanche

Avalanche was composed of wind slab snow. Crack in snow pack appeared in front of me while skinning across slope propagated underneath and behind me then released about 3 feet below skin track. Path was approximately 70-80 yards wide and ran approximately500-600 yards long. Slope angle was 40 degrees. Crown depth approximately 2 feet
