Very warm, mostly clear with a few high clouds, windy with little snow transport.
Snowpack
I mostly dug on northerly-facing slopes directly below ridgetop. On a northeast-facing below treeline slope at 11,300 feet, I got a propagating result in an Extended Column Test after 1 tap (ECTP1) at 15 cm down on buried near surface facets. This slope sits directly below ridgetop and was recently loaded by westerly winds. I also got varying propagating results on the basal facets. The snow depth in this area is 50 to 70 cm depending on the thickness of the recent drifted slab. On a northeast-facing slope at 11,800 ft (near treeline) the snowpack was 70 cm deep with a similar structure as the first snowpit mentioned. I got a result of ECTP11 at 15 cm from the surface on buried facets.
