Snowpack

Snowpack in this low-elevation area is well on it's way to a mature spring snowpack. Average height of snow around 80-100cm on south and west-facing slopes and around 150cm on north-facing terrain. Even on north and northeast facing slopes, water has made it's way to ground with moist layers throughout. There are no percolation columns which suggests water infiltration has been slow and steady. There are remnants of old crusts and facet layers but they are moist, rounding rapidly, and are nonreactive in large column tests.
