Snowpack

New/old interface from 1/15/20 time period firm on SE- E aspects. Moderate wind events (W-S-E) with efficient transport and new precip occurred in last week. 1/20 temps above freezing up to 11,000ft

Avalanche

At ~ Noon an avalanche occurred in the Dragonstail Couloir- 2 skiers skinning up the couloir on the eastern side and reported a natural release occurring above the pair. The lead skinner was carried roughly a couple hundred feet downhill and buried to the chest level with a deployed avalanche airbag. Crown was roughly 5 meters wide, mid path and ran about 200ft down slope before debris fanned out into the apron. One of the skiers sustain injuries.
