Clear, 15-20 degrees, winds gusting to 20-30 mph. Traveling on a N aspect at 11,500 feet.

Snowpack

Pit dug at 11,500 feet. HS 220cm. ECT 28 @ 170cm (pencil), 4F on top of fracture point. Wind skin 5-10cm on top.

Avalanche

Large Natural avalanches on NW flank of Anthracite Peak, locally known as the "Shield" and further up valley on the "nipple". Crown looked to span entire NW face, ground/dirt visible in parts of slope. Start of crown is approx 12,000 feet.
