It happened in an open north facing cut block as we descended in from the top. There was about 2 feet of recent snow on top of a crust layer. I identified the danger as I stopped on top of the bench. I turned sharp right at low speed on my snowbike and attempted to avoid the slope below me. The snow fractured at my ski and the slide took off below me as I continued to pull out sideways and around the slide pocket. No other slides present on this day. But they are possible with human trigger. The slab was about 1.5-2 feet thick and stretched a few hundred feet across. I would guess that there were a few other spots that would let go on this slope if loaded by a machine or skier. This was around the 5500 ft range
