We found reactive wind slabs on north aspects (see photo) but on south aspects below tree line we found fluffy powder sitting on a supportive crust about 5 cm down with no signs of instability. As we moved up closer to the top of the tree line there was a noticeable change and the snow started looking wind affected. We steered clear of that and had some great laps in the pow!
