Party cloudy day with a high in the 30s. Decent amount of solar radiation
Snowpack
Did not dig any pits but know that the recent storm snow 100cm plus was resting on a mid January surface hoar. On more easterly aspects there is also interface between the two storms about 70 cm deep which did not play a role here.
Avalanche
Evidence of recent avalanche activity on a variety of slopes. Most recent activity was on more easterly aspects and were wet slides from solar affect</br></br> A party of two skiers triggered an avalanche in upper Bear Creek. Both were carried with moving snow, but managed to ski out of the avalanche.
