15-20' F on thermometer at hut (11,400) through the night. Snowing and variable winds. At sunrise there was an additional 3" at the hut. Toured out in single digit temperatures, sunny skies, winds 10-20 mph in exposed areas.

Avalanche

At 6 a.m.(1-22) approx. one of our party staying at the hut heard a rumble. 3 hours later when touring out from the hut avalanche debris was observed on a SE aspect at approx 12,000 feet at Taylor Pass. Estimated slope angle of 25-30 degrees. Natural created by cornice break. Several hundred feet wide and ran at least 100 feet. Evidence of smaller slides was also seen in similar locations and aspects throughout the area as well as a lot of wind transport in exposed areas..
