Avalanche

All the new snow ( since Thursday) and settled snow 3"-5" for a total of 18" running on a hard surface. North facing in fairly tight trees. We experienced shooting cracks and sloughing which triggered soft slides that ran 200' to 500' through the trees to valley bottom. We observed natural slides , north facing, in the more open arias that ran sometime during storm. (last 12 hrs) All slides were running on the same hard surface, none stepping down. Point releases on southerly aspects were not propagating.
