Snowpack

HS 125 CT19, resistant planer, failed on the basal facets ECT, no result The snowpack structure is 40cm of settled soft slab and windslab, 50cm of hard midpack from 4F to 1F in hardness, and 30cm of basal facets. This is a similar observation to Jason's East Vail survey the same day. While the Vail side country is exhibiting a settled, supportable snowpack, it is a shallow profile and not to be trusted on steeper pitches. Conservative decision making is called for in our zone currently.

Avalanche

None observed. No cracking or wumfing.
