Weather

S-SE aspect 160*. ~10,500ft. At/above treeline. 25* slope. Estimated 20mph sustained wind but no snow transport observed due to crust (that changed with Monday's snow/wind event).

Snowpack

Stout crust observed from rime event Friday. Surface hoar forming in lower sheltered areas 4mm+ from Saturday night's clear skies. HS 95cm with a couple layers evident in upper snowpack and layer at HS 45cm consisting of 2mm facets creating most reactive layer ECT24 Q2, CT12. Ground layer went at CT24. Observed layers at HS 85/80/65/45/Ground. Overall upside-down snowpack with added crust layer created very difficult divey snowmobile conditions, skiing was better than anticipated considering crust. New snow with excessive wind on Monday will create very touchy conditions on leeward aspects.
