Partly Cloudy, 20's, no precip, moderate W wind, strong gusts. Blowing snow observed at ridgetops

Snowpack

Observed fresh windslab 8-30cm thick on NE aspects, below and near TL elevations. Layer was reactive in snowpit tests, test slopes, and hand shears. Localized shooting cracks observed in this layer. In similar locations, HS avg. 120cm. Generally strong midpack snow with strengthening facets at the base.
